Scope of Project: Design, supply, and installation of a pre-engineered steel building with a motorized roof hatch
This pre-engineered steel building has a secret… Half of the roof slides away with the push of a button! Teck came to us with a unique problem. They needed the ability to hoist large components in and out of their roof.

Colony’s solution… Put the roof on rails and motorize it! The real trick was making sure it remained weather-tight with all the vibration and movement. Custom Colony flashing details and gaskets took care of that and we haven’t had a call back for a roof leak since it was built in 2007.
