Scope of Project: Mill Building and VOK Portal Building: pre-engineered steel building, walls and roof, crane beams, monorails, floor steel, high bay lighting, HVAC, surge bin, bridge cranes, interior fit out (steel stud, drywall, flooring, ceilings, millwork, etc.), installation of these items.

As if it’s not hard enough to build a mill building already, Pretivm chose to build one that could only be accessed by ice road over a glacier, on a site that has snow loads in excess of 350psf! Due to the extreme winter conditions, it was imperative that the building was closed in on time. From start to finish, the team at Colony accomplished this in less than 3.5 months! The building consisted of over 2,200 tonnes of steel. At its peak, it is 137’ (42m) high and it houses three bays of heavy duty overhead bridge cranes.
