Scope of Project: Hangar, Office/Shop, Maintenance Facility/Paint Booth, Pump House: pre-engineered steel buildings, walls and roof, insulation, crane beams, monorails, floor steel, Megadoors, installation of these items.

At 460’ wide x 290’ long and 80’ high, the sheer size and large clear spans of this building posed design challenges that would send most people running for the hills! In order to facilitate the extreme design requirements, 10’ deep columns and rafters (typically reserved for the construction of bridges) were fabricated on our state of the art beam welding line and were used to form the main structure. Another monstrous feature of this building is the door system. Almost an entire endwall disappears with the push of a button with help from custom-built fabric Megadoors. The huge capacity of the building allows Conair to simultaneously work on eight 737 airplanes.
